Abstract: Technical and Vocational Education currently in Mozambique has not contributed significantly to the solution of the problem and self-employment, this is due to the fact that there is still no clearly defined strategy for the development of the competences and skills of learners in order to increase the their employability and occupation in economic and social life. The necessary coordination and joint elaboration between training institutions and employers is lacking, as a consequence, the demands of the labor market are not reflected in the structures of the courses offered. This dissertation that is proposed has as object of study the Commercial School of Maputo. It is a reflective study that sets as its main objective the analysis of the relationship between professional training at the Commercial School of Maputo and absorption by the labor market, in view of the introduction of technologies and the influence of the globalization process. For the materialization of this objective, it constitutes the basic methodology of this purpose, in addition to the theoretical conceptual to support the research, research techniques were used, such as the study of archives, questionnaires to learners, teachers, questionnaires to some pre-selected institutions, interview, direct observation and participation in “Workshops”. The analysis of the data proved that there are really problems between professional training at Escola Comercial; and the labor market. In the last fifteen years, training has not been followed up with a view to overcoming difficulties related to the curriculum, teacher training, teaching evaluation and learning material, in a context in which the market economy poses strong problems in adapting training to a market. dynamic work environment in which changes are being made. The research results corresponded to the research objectives that were used to analyze the discussion data. The study ends with recommendations as a final product to improve the relevance of training and adapt to the demands of the labor market(TRADUÇÃO NOSSA)
