Abstract: This research addresses the Role of Adult Education in the Training of Officers of the Armed Forces of Defense of Mozambique (FADM) in the Army Branch. It discusses the life of the military Man, because the military reality has allowed great incursions in the scientific universe through several formations in the domain of the technologies existing in the heart of the FADM and in the sustainable economic development. Aware that Adult Education increases learning in FADM, thus facilitating the professional training of military personnel to understand the missions entrusted to them, a predominantly qualitative research was carried out with the aim of reflecting on the role of Adult Education in training of Army Branch Officers, their performance and career progression, in accordance with the requirements of the FADM. A fundamental question of the research is the analysis of the role of Adult Education in the Training and framing of Army Officers and the relationship between Adult Education and the professional technical training of Army Officers. This research was based on the comparative analysis between two approaches, namely, bibliographic and empirical. The research data were subjected to a basic statistical treatment through descriptive frequency calculations, in the SPSS package, for the numerical data of the questionnaire. Qualitative analysis was also used for the interview data. As a tool for data collection, the questionnaire for 30 officers and the interview for 2 officers of the management were used. The results of the study indicate the existence of 60% of Officers who have already benefited from training, which shows that Defense Superiors are aware of the need for training the Army in scientific content, academic knowledge, military expertise leading to integrated professional development. xi Thus, it can be concluded that Adult Education and technical professional training are shown as an engine for the transformation and acquisition of skills of Man in general and of FADM in particular, allowing them to make decisions driven by reason. Adult Education in the institution under analysis plays a dynamic role in the organization and management of scientific knowledge, in the adequacy of military careers and in the fulfillment of military missions. Aware of the study's conclusions and the need for more learning in the FADM, it is recommended that the expansion of EA in the Army should be accompanied by the Ministry of National Defense by surveying the needs and characteristics of the candidates and subsequently designing programs that adapt to the necessary changes. and / or desired.(TRADUÇÃO NOSSA)
