Abstract: This research analyzes the influence of participation in the corn market in the decision-making process on the simultaneous adoption of 3 TAMs. Likewise, it analyzes other determinants of adoption of TAMs that include: the gender of the head of the PA, size of the PA, level of education of the head of the PA, total area of the PA, being part of a PO, access to credit, distance from residence to the farmer's machamba and soil characteristics. The technological package used considered 3 technologies to know: improved varieties of corn, inorganic fertilizers and crop rotation. The study is based on the empirical analysis of national and foreign literature on the subject. Secondary data are used from the evaluation of the Adoption Pathway project for the 2012/13 Agrarian Campaign in central Mozambique. The econometric model used was the probit and the mvprobit. The study crop is maize. The results of econometric analyzes, on the one hand, concluded that, statistically, the participation in the corn market did not influence the adoption of TAMs. On the other hand, the probability of adopting TAMs is simultaneously influenced by a set of determinants to be aware of: access to agricultural extension consultancy services, being part of a PO, access to credit, size of the total area of the AF and the level of soil fertility. These results, on the one hand, subject decision-makers in Mozambique to outline actions aimed at: increasing and improving the provision of extension technical assistance services, improving access to agricultural credit for production and across the entire value chain, and continuing to promote and strengthen POs. In this way, we will be contributing to improving productivity and production, making food available, increasing the income of peasant families and the well-being of their families. On the other hand, it is expected that this study will be a reference source for conducting more related research. (TRADUÇÃO NOSSA)
