Abstract:
The present research analyzes the process of teacher’s retirement in the Chókwè District education youth and technology services (2019-2021), this takes into account the observance of administrative principles in retirement of teachers. The research brings some practical foundations that explain the functioning of the public administration in the retirement of teachers. The general objective of this research is to analyze the dynamics of teacher’s retirement at the SDEJT in Chókwè. Specifically, the research characterizes the administrative procedures inserted in the teacher’s retirement, and identifies the main difficulties that condition the retirement process in the SDEJT in Chókwè. Methodologically, the work is of a qualitative and quantitative nature that
combines with descriptive research (bibliographic survey, interviews and surveys). It was then discussed and analyzed data, that led us in the of the conclusions of this research. The literature review focused on the present work brings us different theoretical approaches that explain the process of workers retirement in various aspects, such as meaning, perspectives and phases of retirement. Field work shows us that the main determinant of teacher retirement in the SDEJT in Chókwè, it is determined by the teachers request after the length of service time, and in few cases by the age stipulated by law.
Data collected in this research led us to the conclusion: that the process of teacher’s retirement at the SDEJT in Chókwè is slow and conditioned by factors such as: excessive bureaucracy, weak coordination of departments linked to the retirement process and the weak use of communication and information technologies in the process
