Abstract:
The present study aims to analyse the use of Digital Technologies (DT) as pedagogical
resources in the FACED at UEM, in the context of emergency, in this period where the world
is ravaged by Covid-19, a pandemic that makes emerging the need to redesigning teaching
work from a face-to-face format to a hybrid format, with a view to understanding teaching
from a competent, reflective and active professional perspective, capable of identifying and
applying the best pedagogical solutions in new situations, typical of a rapidly changing
world. For this purpose, a survey was carried out at FACED/UEM in Maputo city. The study
is essentially qualitative, whose sample consisted of forty-six (46) respondents, of which four
(4) managers, ten (10) professors and thirty-two (32) students. In this study, the interview
was used as a data collection instruments for managers and professors and the questionnaire
for students. The results indicate that there is an effort by managers, professors and students
to use Digital Technologies in the teaching and learning process, with the need to improve
connectivity to facilitate interactivity in the FACED between the participants involved in this
process. The study concluded that different platforms were used (moodle, WhatsApp, Google
classroom e E-mail), according to the objectives to be achieved and their accessibility,
however, the one that was chosen for its official use, at UEM, was Moodle. It also concludes
that it is necessary to invest in the development of physical and virtual environments that
allow for more interactive and participatory learning. The study also concluded that there is
necessary to reflect on the meyhodology to be used in teaching and learning process based on
the challenges imposed by the pandemy.
