Abstract:
This assignment is about the role of family in the process of psychological development of
the young people at University of São-Tomás de Mozambique, where it was tried to
analyze to what extent the family carries out its influence in this process. The point of t he
investigation is concerned to the necessity of analyzing the level of perception of the family
in the psychological development of young people. The overall aim of the research
consisted in analyzing the influence of family system in psychological development of
young people from eighteen up to twenty- four years of age, at University of São-Tomás de
Mozambique. The choice of this interval of age is because the same presents a moment of
big inside conflicts in the tender age, in which the author, experiences this situation
frequently.
The questions of the research had the perspective of verifying the physical and
psychological changes that occur in young people development and, by the end, the layout
of the relationship and following up of the familiar system. Concerning the methodological
plan, it is about the theoretical-empiric research, and the way of the way of dealing with the
information is qualitative, with descriptive typology associated to a subject matter. It was
carried out a semi-structured interview with the fathers and the education guardians, fact
that resulted in major interaction and collection of more evidences about the issue in
analysis. It was also used inquiry and diagnostic test of the familiar system in young people
and still in the respective education guardians with twenty- four participants for exhibition,
in which twelve were young people and the other twelve were fathers and/or education
guardians. The results tell the existence of influence of the familiar system in the process o f
psychological development of young people. Consequently, it was found out that not all the
students inquired had information related to their physical and psychological changes
inside the familiar system, but precisely at school. It was also clear that familiar chat is a
crucial tool for psychosocial development of young people and that the family carries out
an influence in psychosocial development of young people.
