| dc.description.abstract | The present dissertation is a case study that analyzes the contribuition of Makwayela and Mutimba dances in local development, involving the interaction between artists as institutions that manage culture in the district of Boane. The argument is defedend according to which the performing arts contriute to local development by changing the mentalities of all social strata involved in artistic management, artistic sensitivity, recognition of artistic value, freedom and community participation.. In this qualitative research, four semi-structure interviews were applied to (4) employees of the District Services of Education, Youth and Culture, three (3) employees of the Municipality of Boane and six (6) artists, totaling (13) participants. Based on the theory of Human Development by Amartya Sen, it has found that artists do not enjoy complete freedom to expose their needs and claim their artistic rights. | dc.description.resumo | A presente dissertação é um estudo de caso, que analisa a contribuição das danças Makwayela e Mutimba no desenvolvimento local, envolvendo a interação entre os artistas e as instituições que gerenciam a cultura no distrito de Boane. Defende-se o argumento segundo o qual, as artes performativas contribuem para o desenvolvimento local através da mudança de mentalidades de todas camadas sociais envolvidas na gestão artística, sensibilidade artística, reconhecimento do valor artístico, liberdade e a participação comunitária. Nessa pesquisa de natureza qualitativa, aplicou-se entrevistas semi-estruturas a quatro (4) funcionários dos Serviços Distritais de Educação, Juventude e Cultura, três (3) funcionários do Município da Vila de Boane e seis (6) artistas, totalizando treze (13) participantes. Com base na teoria de Desenvolvimento Humano de Amartya Sen, constatou-se que os artistas não gozam de total liberdade para exporem as suas necessidades e reivindicarem os seus direitos artísticos. Desta feita, concluiu-se que as artes performativas tem baixa contribuição para o desenvolvimento local no distrito de Boane, uma vez não haver alinhamento entre os objectivos do Plano Estratégico da Cultura e a realidade em estudo | en_US |
