Abstract:
To carry out this study, two trials under field conditions were conducted at the Estação Agrária de Chókwé. In the first trial, the effect of different doses of silicon combined with fungicide on the control of fungal stains and on rice productivity was studied, and in the second trial, the effect of different doses of silicon combined with urea was also studied for the same purpose . Among the agronomic characteristics it was evaluated: the height of the plants, the number of stems and panicles, the grain yield and the weight of a thousand grains. The incidence and severity of fungal spots in the culture were also evaluated. According to the results of the test of comparison of means by the method of Tukey, in the first test there were significant differences for all the studied characteristics, with the exception of the number of panicles between the doses of diatomite and fungicide and varieties. In the second trial, significant differences were observed between the means in all characteristics studied between the doses of diatomite and urea. These facts showed that diatomite, fungicide and urea had positive effects on productivity and disease reduction in rice. The last test was conducted in the laboratory of the Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry, with the aim of testing the health of seeds harvested in the rice and wet chamber tests. In this test, the presence of Alternaria padwickii and Fusarium moniliforme (TRADUÇÃO NOSSA)
