Abstract:
This study tackles the process of musical training in Mozambique, the relationship that establishes between different levels of education. Until point the nonexistence of the intermediate level in music influences the greeting of the aims of the curriculum prescribed in the discipline of Theory of Music, in the UEM? It is the problem that plants. The aim is to comprise the relation between the discipline of Theory of Music in the basic level and the same discipline in the higher level of way to that reach the clear-cut aims in this last level. The method used is the qualitative, integrated in the investigations exploratory research. The population, which coincides with the sample, composes by the three teachers of the discipline of Theory of Music in the UEM and the participants defined with base in the probabilistic sampling, where used the technician of sampling by suitability. To it collect of data did using the semi- structured interview, the questionnaire and the non-participant observation. The results of the study reveal that there is, on the one hand, learners that access to the course of Degree in Music without necessary requirements for the discipline of Theory of Music, but there is, on the other hand, learners that access with requirements, however in a level still for consolidating. Also they show that there are limitations in the integral and effective greeting of the clear-cut aims in the program.
